Daddy's Girl

My family has always meant the world to me but it wasn't until I moved 4 hours away from home, for school, that I realized how much my family meant to me. My two older brothers are always there for me, my little sister is my best friend, my mom is my rock, I'm definitely a "daddy's girl," and my granny has supported me through absolutely everything. These 6 people have influenced me in ways I could never express my gratitude for. I spent my 19th birthday without my family. This was the first time ever I was away from them on my birthday. I decided I wasn't going to let that happen. I went to a tattoo parlor with some friends and decided on 6 stars on my rib cage, one for each family member. It was so exhilirating, the impulsiveness and the meaning combined made the occasion incredible. It probably was the adrenaline pumping through my veins, what with this being the most adventurous thing I've ever done, but it didn't hurt at all. My tattoo artist was so incredibly sweet and respectful. I can't wait to go back and get another.
